Thanks from the Mauldins
Michael and I wanted to go ahead and say thank you for the all of the fantastic dinners. We've enjoyed meals from the Andersons, Tankersleys, and Wells already. It is so nice to know that dinner is taken care of! Michael is getting really spoiled by the good home cooking! We're blessed to be a part of such a wonderful church family.

Sign-Up Sheets...
Here are the sign-up sheets that have been passed around the past few Sundays. We are at home this Sunday recovering from a nasty stomach bug that ran through the whole crew, so if you have any questions you can post them or send an email or we will see you next Sunday!

Missions Opportunities
I wanted to give you all some information about several mission opportunities we have, especially since Carlos just finished a great series on missions! Feel free to do all or none of these, and let me know if you are interested and want more details.
1. Dinner for the Mauldins- I know it doesn't sound like 'missions', but for those who've had a baby and had the dinners brought to them, you know it's such a blessing and a ministry of God's love! Crystal will have the sign up sheet posted on the blog soon, add your name on a free date if you want to and haven't already.
2. Prayer for mission trips. Please be in prayer for the mission trips already planned for this summer, and for Russ and I as we work with a missionary on details for another mission trip possibility also for this summer. May be even consider going on one yourself!
3. As you probably heard, Haiti was devastated by a 7.0 earthquake. If you want to help, there are many ways to do so, and one of those is through Heaven Sent Ministries. Those of you who were at WFBC a few years ago will remember we donated money and participated in filling food bags for the Dominican Republic. They are sending an emergency food and water shipment to Haiti. A gift of $25 is all they are asking for, and it will help cover the cost of food that would last a family there a couple of months. The main thing needed there now is food and water. One article I read said that the remaining survivors will likely die from thirst or hunger.
You can send a check to HSM and write "Haiti Food" in the memo, or go to their website (http://www.hsminc.org/) and find the details about how you can donate online. If you want to give more, $60 buys the ingredients for a box of food that equals 216 meals!
Quote from an email sent to me by Linda Gravier, a family friend who runs HSM:
"This is absolutely a God-sized undertaking for our us, but we are trusting that God will get all of the glory. As we provide life-giving food to the victims of this disaster, we know that the food will arrive with the eternal-life-giving message of salvation. God can use this disaster to bring glory to Himself and to draw the people of Haiti into a relationship with Him!"
Let me (Shelley Tanner) know if you have any questions about this.
